At Talentir, we are committed to building a secure platform for creators and YouTubers. To achieve this, we only accept channels that strictly adhere to YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Monetization Policies.

Our vetting process is designed to filter out channels at risk of demonetization, copyright strikes, or platform suspension. By maintaining these high standards, we provide a "safety first" environment that guarantees long-term revenue stability and protects the brand reputation of the creators we represent. Ensuring your channel is compliant isn't just about following rules, it’s about securing the future value of your digital assets.

Below is the structured list of reasons for channel rejection, ordered from the most severe violations to general quality standards.

1. High-Risk & Prohibited Content (Immediate Rejection)

These violations, even if displayed only in the thumbnails and not in the videos, are considered "unacceptable" due to their potential for immediate channel termination or legal consequences.

  • Harmful or Dangerous Acts: Content that encourages illegal activities or depicts dangerous stunts that could lead to serious physical harm or death.
  • Gore, Violence & Animal Cruelty: Graphic imagery, promotion of self-harm, or content showing the mistreatment of animals.
  • Hate Speech & Harassment: Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on protected attributes (race, religion, gender, etc.).
  • Sexual Content & Nudity: Any material that violates YouTube's strict policies on sexually explicit or suggestive content.
  • Child Safety Violations: Content that endangers the emotional or physical well-being of minors.

2. Deceptive Practices & Scams

Maintaining user trust is paramount. We reject channels involved in:

  • Scams & Frauds: Promoting "get rich quick" schemes, pyramid schemes, or phishing links.
  • Impersonation: Channels that pose as another creator, celebrity, or organization without authorization. Generally we do not accept most faceless creators.
  • Fake Engagement: Evidence of purchased views, subscribers, or comments to artificially inflate metrics.
  • Misleading Metadata: Using deceptive titles, descriptions, or "clickbait" thumbnails that do not match the actual video content.

3. Inauthentic & Repetitive Content

To avoid "Inauthentic Content" and “Repetitive Content” flags, the most common cause of demonetization as of recently, we reject:

  • Mass-Produced/Inauthentic Content: Programmatically generated videos or content created using templates with minimal human creative input.
  • Repetitive Content: Channels where all videos look and sound nearly identical, offering little educational or entertainment value.
  • Reused Content (Low Transformation): Taking content from other sources (TV shows, movies, or other YouTubers) without adding significant original commentary or a unique creative perspective.

4. Copyright & Intellectual Property

Copyright strikes can jeopardize your channel and the platform as a whole. Reasons for rejection include:

  • Unauthorized Third-Party Assets: Frequent use of copyrighted music, stock footage, or images without proof of licensing.
  • Public Domain Abuse: Excessive use of public domain footage without original editing or educational context.
  • Music Copyright Infringement: Use of copyrighted music, even if it’s “transformed” via playlists, remixes and similar practices.

5. AI Usage & Platform Transparency

While we support the use of AI tools, they must be used responsibly:

  • Lack of AI Disclosure: Failure to use YouTube’s "Altered Content" labels for realistic synthetic media.
  • AI Slop: High-volume, low-quality channels where AI is used to churn out "junk" content purely for views.
  • Deepfakes: Any AI-generated content used to spread misinformation or damage reputations.

6. General Ad-Suitability & Quality

Even if a channel is "safe," it may be rejected if it is not "advertiser-friendly":

  • Excessive Profanity: Frequent use of strong language, especially in the first 7 seconds of a video or in titles/thumbnails.
  • Controversial Topics: Channels focusing on sensitive social or political issues that are frequently subject to limited or no ads (Yellow Icon).
  • Low Production Quality: Content that does not meet the basic aesthetic and audio standards expected by our community of investors.

Policy on Re-Application

Our reviews are generally final. However, if you wish to adhere to our policies in the future by changing your channel and your content strategy, you are free to do so and contact us again for a secondary review in 30 days.

These rules, even though strict, have kept the majority of channels onboarded into Talentir safe from strikes and demonetization. By upholding these standards, we ensure that the focus remains on creativity and genuinely enjoying the process of content creation.
